Equipment

  • Measuring Cups & Spoons
  • Cookie Scoop or Spoon
  • Parchment Paper or Air Fryer Liners
  • Fork (for that classic peanut butter cookie crisscross pattern)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • a pinch Salt
  • Chocolate chips or chunks for added decadence, optional

Method

  • In a mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  • Sprinkle in the baking soda and salt, then mix until well combined.
  • Using a cookie scoop or spoon, scoop out dough and roll into balls. Place them on a parchment paper or air fryer liner.
  • Using a fork, press down on each cookie ball to create that iconic crisscross pattern.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the cookies in the air fryer basket, ensuring they're spaced apart. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Once done, let the cookies cool for a few minutes. This will help them firm up and achieve that perfect crunch.
Chefs Tips
  • Keep your cookie balls consistent in size for even cooking.
  • Cook in batches if needed. Overcrowding can lead to unevenly cooked cookies.
  • Feel free to add chocolate chips, nuts, or even a sprinkle of sea salt on top for an extra flavor kick.
  • Air fryers can vary, so start checking your cookies around the 7-minute mark to avoid overcooking.
