Air fryers are fantastic appliances that allow you to cook food easily without the need to use extra oil, but at the same time make the food very flavoursome.

An air fryer such as the Ninja Foodi uses dry heat to circulate the air around the food and ensures it cooks quickly.

Air frying is a very simple way to cook your food, and it is a great appliance that can be used for individuals or small or large families.

And the best thing is that you can easily cook fresh and frozen foods in the Ninja Foodi.

And, if you are wondering whether you can cook sausages in your Ninja Foodi, the answer is “absolutely”!

Benefits Of Cooking Sausages In A Ninja Foodi

Sausages are anytime favourites that you can cook easily and quickly, especially when you make them in a Ninja Foodi. Some of the benefits of using a Ninja Foodi to cook sausages include:

Better Texture

The texture of the sausages, when cooked in a Ninja Foodi air fryer, is nicer and crispier, and since no extra oil is used, this cooking method is much healthier.

Faster Cooking

The hot and dry air circulating around the sausages cooks them much faster as compared to when they are cooked in the oven or stovetop.

Less Clean Up

When you use the air fryer for cooking the sausages, the only thing that gets dirty is the basket of the appliance. And, if you place a foil at the bottom and then place the sausages, it makes the cleaning even easier.

No Defrosting Required

When cooking frozen sausages in a Ninja Foodi, it is unnecessary to take them out of the freezer beforehand to thaw. Pull the frozen sausages straight from the freezer, toss them into the Ninja Foodi, and cook.

No Supervision

Using an air fryer to cook sausages will help to free you up so that you can focus on other things while the sausages get cooked.

How To Cook Sausages In A Ninja Foodi

Cooking sausages in a Ninja Foodi is as easy as A-B-C. The best thing is that you can use the Ninja Foodi to cook sausages of any type, size, meat or flavour. All you need is a bit of non-stick spray to cook them.

And, even if you don’t use the non-stick spray, you can still cook the sausages in the air fryer, which will turn out fine because as they cook, the sausages will produce grease, ensuring that they won’t stick.

The only thing to remember is that if the sausages are smaller, thinner or pre-cooked, you must reduce the cooking time.

How To Cook Frozen Sausages In A Ninja Foodi

Ideally, it is a lot easier and quicker to cook thawed rather than frozen sausages. Because when you cook thawed sausages, the cooking time is a lot less as compared to frozen sausages, which will take a longer time to cook.

If you are using pre-cooked sausages, it will take only 2 to 3 minutes to cook them in a Ninja Foodi as you are essentially re-warming the sausages. Cooking with raw pork will take much longer.
