Published by: Chef Braam Botha • Updated: January 15, 2024 • Checked By: Chef Matty Riedel

If you have read my review on the Ninja Foodi Blender and you have made the great decision to invest in one, you should be very excited about what the future has in store for you! It is always exciting to unbox a new appliance, especially if you know it is a great product. But once the excitement of unboxing is over the anxiety usually kicks in – ‘what am I supposed to do with this machine?’ Luckily, I have got you covered, here are 7 Ninja Foodi Blender Recipes that I have tried and tested. I have made these with other appliances in the past, however, this new machine made it all so much easier.

7 Ninja Foodi Blender Recipes

I have included two dishes that can be classified as either a starter or a main dish, two sauces/dips and 3 of my favourite smoothies that I make almost daily.

I truly hope you enjoy these recipes, and as always, I encourage you to play around with these recipes. Use them as a guide but try and make them your own by adding/removing some ingredients and experiment with different flavours in each of them.

Starters & Mains

Carpaccio Topped With Ninja Vinaigrette

My favourite chef in the entire world happens to be my mentor and my aunt. Carpaccio is an amazing Italian starter made from paper-thin slices of raw beef, served with a creamy olive oil vinaigrette. My aunt completely changed the game with her own adapted basil-vinaigrette which is amazingly easy to make if you have a Ninja Foodi Blender.

one of our ninja foodi blender recipes

Ingredients

  • 450 g beef or venison fillet
  • 125 ml olive oil
  • 90 ml white wine vinegar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tbsp mustard powder
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 10 g parsley
  • 10 g basil
  • salt & paper to taste
  • pinch of brown sugar

Method

  1. Wrap the fillet tightly in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for one hour, ensure to cover all surfaces to prevent freezer burn. Chilled meat is easier to slice.
  2. Remove the plastic wrap. Using a very sharp knife, slice the fillet into paper-thin slices.
  3. Arrange the slices on a serving dish
  4. Now to bust out the Ninja Foodi Blender! This part is very easy.
  5. In the 700ml Power Nutri Cup, add all the remaining ingredients (obviously not the sliced fillet!) Blend until smooth.
  6. Pour the vinaigrette over the sliced fillet and allow it to marinate for about 15 minutes.
  7. Season and Serve at room temperature.

OPTIONAL: Garnish with fresh basil, capers and parmesan shavings.

Thai Chicken Patties With Sweet Chilli Sauce

Ingredients

  • 250 g chicken thighs, deboned
  • 1/2 ea red pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 25 g coriander leaves
  • 1 birds-eye chilli
  • 10 ml fish sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 250 g stale breadcrumbs
  • 2 shallots
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • sweet chilli sauce to serve

Method

  1. In your 400ml Nutri Power Bowl blend the Chicken, Pepper, Garlic, Coriander, Chilli, Fish Sauce, Breadcrumbs, and egg until well combined.
  2. Finely chop the shallots and combine with the chicken mixture in a mixing bowl.
  3. Use floured hands to shape the chicken mixture into 6 patties.
  4. Just before serving, deep-fry batches of the patties in hot oil until they are browned and cooked through.
  5. Place on kitchen towel to drain.
  6. Serve with sweet chilli sauce as a dip. ENJOY!

Sauces & Dips

Harissa

A chilli dip traditionally served with Moroccan food is one of those items you will always find in my fridge. It is amazing to whip out some harissa to put on a cheese platter when you have unexpected guests. This flavourful hot dip is amazing on crackers, cheeses and almost any snack.

harissa: one of our ninja foodi blender recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried red chillies
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 2.5 ml sea salt
  • 5 ml cumin seeds
  • 15 ml olive oil

Method

  1. Cover dried chillies with boiling water and leave to soak for at least an hour.
  2. Strain off the water and roughly chop.
  3. Place a pan on medium-high heat, once hot add the cumin seeds and gently shake the pan until they are toasted and fragrant. Once toasted grind them down in a mortar & pestle.
  4. Add all ingredients to the 400ml Power Nutri Bowl and blend until a smooth even paste has formed.
  5. Decant into a glass jar, cover with a thin layer of oil. Close with a lid and store in the fridge.
  6. ENJOY in small amounts as it is powerful and very flavourful.

Wasabi Mayo

Mayo is an easy thing to make once you understand how emulsions work. Another amazing kitchen hack is to make mayo in a blender rather than by hand.

Ingredients

  • pinch of salt
  • 1 g mustard
  • pinch of sugar
  • 5 ml lemon juice
  • 250 ml olive oil
  • 15 ml wasabi paste
  • 1 clove garlic

Method

  1. Into your 400ml Power Nutri Cup add Egg yolks, Salt, Mustard, Sugar, Garlic, Wasabi Paste, and Lemon Juice. Pulse a few times until a smooth paste develops.
  2. Now for the tricky part. Add 50ml olive oil at a time and blend until fully combined, repeat this step with the remaining olive oil until you have used up all the oil or until you have achieved the desired consistency.
  3. To ensure the mixture doesn’t curdle, make sure that none of the ingredients is cold at the time of making.
  4. Serve on a cheese platter or make a delicious sandwich with this amazing mayo and ENJOY!

Smoothies

Red Ninja Vs Yellow Ninja Smoothie

If you are looking to impress your friends, bust out your prettiest glasses for this beautiful mouth-watering smoothie recipe. This smoothie consists of a red raspberry layer topped with an amazing yellow mango layer.

Ingredients

(For The Red Layer)

  • 1 cup raspberries, pre-frozen
  • 1/4 cup strawberries, pre-frozen
  • 3 g mint, fresh
  • 1/2 cup Greek/plain yogurt
  • 1/2 ea banana, frozen
  • ice, as needed

(For The Yellow Layer)

  • 1 ea mango, frozen
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 ea banana, frozen
  • 1/2 cup Greek/plain yogurt
  • ice, as needed

Method

  1. Cut mango into chunks and freeze along with a banana. I usually keep a few cut up mangos and bananas in the freezer.
  2. You are going to blend two separate batches to create the two layers, work quickly to ensure the first layer does not melt.
  3. Add all the ingredients for the Red Layer into your 700ml Nutri Power cup. Pulse a few times until thoroughly combined. Add ice and pulse until you have reached your desired consistency.
  4. Pour the red layer into two glasses to fill them halfway.
  5. Working quickly, rinse the Nutri Power cup and dry with a cloth.
  6. Add all the ingredients for the yellow layer into the cup. Pulse a few times until thoroughly combined. Add ice and pulse until you have reached your desired consistency.
  7. Carefully pour the yellow layer on top of the red layer.

*Keep the glass at a slight angle to ensure the two colours don’t mix.

ENJOY!
